The Nano-Biotechnology Research Group does research inspired in nature with a focus on designing complex systems through the understanding of interactions between living and synthetic components. The NBR Group applies techniques in the fields of Nanotechnology and Systems and Synthetic Biology to advance in the development and design of therapeutics, materials, alternative and clean energy, and contribute to increase the world’s food and water supplies.

PEOPLE

My research group focuses on research inspired in the fields of Nanotechnology and Systems and Synthetic Biology. The research projects that we are developing in the group are very diverse. However, we believe we will shape the field of infectious disease therapeutic development through engineering more effective antibiotics in the form of nanodelivery systems and in-vivo therapeutic nanomachines.
